Title:                         Digital Fundraising Manager

Reports to:             Director, Membership

Job Summary:          The Digital Fundraising Manager is responsible for maximizing current and long-term revenue from donors, giving less than $10,000 annually via digital direct response channels. This includes stewardship and solicitation of donors to increase the amount and frequency of their giving across channels. The Manager is responsible for Heritage Action’s new donor acquisition and reactivation programs, and coordinates with the Action fundraising team, vendors, and consultants to execute initiatives. This role requires strong people skills, strict attention to detail, political awareness, an entrepreneurial spirit, and demonstrated fundraising results.

Job Duties:
  • Manage the entire donor journey across all digital channels, setting the strategy, content, copy, and art to cultivate, prospect, and inspire donations.
  • Set, manage, and continuously evaluate multi-million-dollar revenue goals and expense budgets to meet income, retention, and growth goals. 
  • Collaborate across marketing and policy departments to develop creative assets and content offers, navigating the copy approval process.
  • Manage the housefile program via digital and new channels with a focus on prospecting, retention, and increasing monthly giving through the Liberty Brigade.
  • Manage new donor acquisition across channels including managing list selection, testing, regular reporting, and analysis with a focus on growing the membership base.
  • Work with the Data Analytics team and independently develop effective strategies for donor retention, renewal, and upgrades, refining data models with new learning.
  • Analyze campaign and program-wide results to ensure growth goals are being met and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of testing, experimentation, and innovation using data to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate with other Development departments, including Legacy Society and Major Gifts, to design, execute, and monitor trigger programs and to send mass announcements and invitations to high-touch donors.
  • Oversee online fundraising vendors, managing production schedules and directing product messaging and design.
  • Partner with the Direct Mail team and outside vendors to execute multi-channel fundraising and cultivation campaigns and evaluate ongoing results.
  • Coordinate with Development Operations and market research vendors to develop, edit, and execute market research campaigns, using the learnings to inform future strategy.

Qualifications:
Education:                  BA/BS preferred
Experience:                 4+ years of digital fundraising experience
Communication:         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technology:                Competency in using databases, CRMs, GA4, Wordpress, Microsoft 365, and                                      similar software

Other Requirements:
  • Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and its goals and objectives.
  • Experience with A/B testing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with market research strategies and techniques.
  • Sound judgement, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills with the ability to devise strategies from appropriate data.
  • Knowledge of the conservative movement and principles.
  • Professionalism: highest possible character (maturity, integrity, humility, and accountability).
  • Good time management skills and flexibility for occasional tight deadlines.

The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $90,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate, and the final salary offered to a selected candidate depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, and other qualifications; internal and external market pay for comparable jobs; and level of hire based on aforementioned qualifications.
