Title:                        Administrative and Development Data Specialist

Reports to:              Senior Director, Development Operations

Job Summary:  The Administrative and Development Data Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of data in the CRM to track, report, and analyze fundraising and marketing activities.  Provides data and data hygiene controls for the Membership team, including lists for direct mail, telemarketing, and online appeals. The Development Data Specialist will also work on special projects to review and analyze business and data process to generate recommendations for improvement.

Job Duties:

Data Management:

  • Oversee the mail file selection, creation, and quality control process
  • Create Ad-hoc mail files as needed
  • Monitor data entry and CRM use by the Membership and customer service teams for quality control
  • Manage process for backing out data from returned checks and credit cards

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Run, validate and distribute daily, weekly and monthly fundraising reports
  • Conduct routine data quality audits and address data quality issues
  • Create data queries and exports as required

Process Reviews:

  • Develop and maintain end user training documentation and deliver training to users as required for development systems and processes
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation and consider compliance in all business process analysis and redesign activities.
  • Ensure consistency of CRM usage conventions, compliance with best practices, and integrity of data.

Administrative:

  • Assist Operations and Membership teams with administrative needs as requested.

Skill Factors:

Education:       BA/BS
Experience:     3-5 years of relevant technical work experience.

  • Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department’s goals and objectives
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Interest in learning about fundraising and public policy.
