Title:                       Donor Relations Advancement Specialist

Reports to:             Director, Donor Relations

Job Summary:  The Donor Relations Advancement Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of data in the CRM database to track, report on, and analyze movement of major gift donors and prospects through the fundraising cycle.  The Specialist will also work on special administrative projects to help solicitors more efficiently and effectively engage with major gift donors and prospects.

Job Duties:

1. Data Management

  • Enter and maintain data on major gift donors and prospects
  • Conduct routine monthly data audits
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests, including list review and editing

2.  Reporting and Analysis

  • Run, validate and distribute weekly and monthly fundraising reports
  • Create basic data queries and exports to help solicitors analyze donor and prospect movement

3.  Special Projects

  • Coordinate logistics of and follow-up from monthly major donor call
  • Track prospect interests to facilitate appropriate and timely outreach from solicitors

Skill Factors:

Education:                   Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:                  2-4 years of relevant experience

Computer Skills:         Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Special Skills/Requirements:  

  • Exceptionally detail-oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Interest in learning about fundraising and public policy.
  • Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department's goals and objectives.
